I am Fran Davey and I have been doing architectural and interior design visualization since 1997. Surreal Structures was born in 1999, shortly after the birth of my first son, when I decided to work from a home office. I was always interested in realistic, high-quality rendering and searched for many years for a render engine that suited me. Over the years, I progressed from doing production rendering with AutoCAD and its Archvision add-on, to Lightscape, then Vray. I eventually settled on Fryrender, and have been using it for my production work since 2006. With the advent of Arion, I have been using it for more and more of my productions. This blog is where I post personal and test work, and the occasional tutorial.
